Francesco Martucci’s amazing story began at the tender-age of 10, when Francesco had no choice but to begin work due to financial difficulties at home. Fortunately, his uncle Franco was able to offer him a job at his pizzeria, one of the first-ever in the city of Caserta, called Solito Posto. Here, Francesco worked hard and diligently for the first years to not only help to provide for his family, but also learn as much as he could to carve out his own unique path in the world of pizza —a world in which had ignited his curiosity and passion since his very first day at work. By the time Francesco was 14 years old, he was working in the kitchen all by himself, from preparing the perfectly leavened dough to plating the finished pie right off the peel, like a pro.
